The Wonderland Jazz Ensemble is a collection of experienced musicians who have been drawn together in the pursuit of developing a dynamic group that blends traditional jazz repertoire with original composition and innovative arrangements. The leader of the group, saxophonist and composer Tom Elferdink is joined by fellow reed man Ken Morgan, while Eric Thorne on piano, Jeff Beavan on bass and Larry Ochiltree on drums make up the hard swinging rhythm section. The group has released one CD, the critically acclaimed “A Wish."  Many other fine musicians also perform with the WJE including trombonist Earlie Braggs, vocalist Mary Rademacher, and drummer Mike Van Lente.
