Compositions & Collaborations

This page offers me the opportunity to share some recent compositions of mine in the form of duets performed by myself  on saxophones and flute and
Eric Thorne on piano.
In addition, I'm adding links to recordings and videos of songs where I have appeared as a sideman.

Here is a link to a video recently completed by my dear friend Bart Smith featuring his two talented daughters singing The Isley Brothers 1976 classic
Harvest For The World. It was great to be a part of recreating this song whose message is as relevant today as ever.

Below are three tunes written by my longtime friend and colleague, the brilliant songwriter, badass guitarist, and gifted musical wizard, John Kimsey.

The first one is from the time I lived in Chicago, where John and I played together for many years. A true masterpiece entitled Alibi Club.
The next two songs are from John’s latest album, The Quiet Part Out Loud, that I had the pleasure of contributing to.  Marianne is a lovely tribute to Marianne Faithful. I play the soprano sax on this one. I wrote the horn arrangement and played all the horn parts on FF&FFH, an after the end of the world jukebox classic.

John has written and recorded a lot of great music over the years. I encourage you to visit his Bandcamp page at the link below where you can browse through his catalog and purchase recordings.
